Did you know?
Water treatment devices can only remove physical and chemical pollutants and improve taste and odor. However, contrary to popular belief, they cannot remove microorganisms because they do not contain any disinfection technology. Microorganisms can easily pass through the filter structure in water treatment devices. Moreover, if the filters in water treatment devices are not disinfected frequently and effectively, the microbial load on the filters can increase, contaminating your water in large quantities and harming your health.
UV systems developed for use in water purification require long disinfection times due to their conventional light technology and are insufficient in providing disinfection while the water is in motion.
Since UV systems cannot penetrate water, it is not possible to provide disinfection with UV light in a water tank.
The Sterilisa Difference
Sterilisa instantly destroys all microorganisms in every drop of your water simultaneously with the water flow using its patented Pulsed Light Technology, thanks to its design compatible with UV penetration capacity.
High-Level Design
Sterilisa is manufactured under the supervision and control of expert microbiologists and specialist engineers. Sterilisa holds nationally and internationally recognized accreditation documents and certificates.
America FDA Certified

Sterilisa was developed under the supervision of expert microbiologists and engineers from the Istanbul Technical University community. Its reliability and effectiveness have been documented with FDA and EPA certifications from America, TÜV accreditation from Germany, and TÜRKAK-approved analyses from Turkey. The international and local accreditations it holds prove that Sterilisa offers a healthy and safe solution.
Is the taste of the water changing?
Yes. Sterilisa improves the taste of water through a physical, chemical, and microbiological purification process that occurs simultaneously with the flow of water. Sterilisa eliminates taste impairments caused by harmful chlorinated organic residues such as chlorine and chlorinated phenols found in tap water, pipeline-derived metal ions such as rust, iron, copper, and zinc, microbiological biofilm formation, lime, and particulates through an 8-stage high-efficiency purification and disinfection mechanism, enabling the water to achieve a taste profile similar to bottled water.
Does it cause mineral loss?
No. Sterilisa only removes physical, chemical, and microbiological pollutants without altering the natural structure of water. Since Sterilisa does not retain dissolved minerals, the natural mineral balance of the water is preserved. In this way, ions necessary for human health such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium remain in the water's structure; only microorganisms, taste, odor, and pollutants that negatively affect purity are removed. Sterilisa preserves the natural mineral structure of water and its biological value beneficial for human health.
What's the difference from a water purifier?
Water purifiers can only remove physical and chemical pollutants and provide taste and odor to the water. Which faucet types is it compatible with?
The device is compatible with most standard taps with diameters between 19.5 mm and 23.5 mm. The adapters included in the box cover most common tap types. For some non-standard or rare tap sizes, an external connection adapter may need to be sourced.
What is Sterilisa's water flow rate?
Sterilisa's nominal water flow rate is 1.0 liters/minute.
Sterilisa features a flow-through design that operates on mains pressure directly at the tap spout. Therefore, under normal operating conditions, no noticeable flow rate loss is experienced.
The key factors affecting flow rate and pressure loss are scientifically evaluated under three main categories:
1. Flow Resistance
In filtered systems, as water passes through a porous medium, a naturally limited pressure loss occurs. In Sterilisa, multi-layered but highly permeable filter materials and a wide flow cross-section are used, so this resistance does not reach suffocating levels.
2. Multi-stage filtration structure
Performing very fine filtration in a single stage can significantly reduce the flow rate. In Sterilisa, however, 304 stainless steel strainers, non-woven layers, sintered carbon, and fine mesh structures are used in stages. This structure does not put the load on a single point; it both extends filter life and provides a more stable water flow.
3. Fouling effect over time
Depending on the usage period, sediment, scale, and particles can accumulate on the filter, which can reduce the flow rate. For this reason, thanks to the water diversion valve in Sterilisa, unnecessary loading of the filter can be prevented by opting for the raw mains water line when disinfection is not required.
In summary:
In a home with standard mains pressure, a significant drop in flow rate is not expected during Sterilisa use. In environments where mains pressure is low, using the diversion valve according to usage needs provides the best performance.
